– author of: Patriot Graves,  World War II: Arroyo Grande, San Luis Obispo County Outlaws  and Central Coast Aviators of World War II

Jim Gregory has been a teacher of literature, anthropology and history for over thirty years in Arroyo Grande and San Luis Obispo. He was Lucia Mar Unified School District’s Teacher of the Year in 2010–11, and has led several student trips to WWII sites in Europe. His interest in history of the ’30s and ’40s was fueled by studying with Pulitzer Prize–winning Stanford professor David Kennedy, as the recipient of a Gilder-Lehrman Fellowship in 2004. He lives in Arroyo Grande with his wife and sons.

His most recent book is San Luis Obispo County Outlaws: Desperados, Vigilantes and Bootleggers, and Central Coast Combat Aviators of World War II will be released soon.

Where:	Madonna Inn, Main Ballroom, SLO.
When:	11:00 am – Meet and Greet 11:30 am –  Meeting followed by Lunch service 12:30 pm –  Guest Speaker 1:00 pm –  Book Sale and signing
Cost:	$25.00 per member or guest meal
Menu:	Choice of Chicken, Beef or Vegetarian Entree
	Beef: Tender slices of Roast Sirloin of Beef with a touch of au jus. Chicken: Chicken Florentine breast stuffed with spinach mushroom dressing topped with a Chardonnay sauce. Vegetarian:Portabella Mushroom layered with heirloom tomatoes, goat cheese, seasonal vegetables and a balsamic reduction drizzle.
	Each entree served with Green Salad, Chef’s vegetables and baby red potatoes, homemade dinner rolls, Madonna Inn cake, coffee and tea
